19th century

“19th Century Photographs”, a section of our Selectionphoto.com. This is an eclectic sales catalog.
We have chosen to present these prints for their historical and iconographic interest, as well as for the quality of their conservation.
The most common 19th-century photographs today are albumen prints from glass negatives. However, as we discover them, we can present prints on salted paper, or other processes such as daguerreotype, ambrotype, cyanotype, tintype, or various collodion panotypes, on very diverse and sometimes improbable supports, such as leather or fabric. We will not enumerate here all the photographic processes of the 19th century that we could present as their number is important.

We sell in this section “XIXeme siècle” only vintage prints of the period.
